This groundbreaking ceremony was for the Spanish Alliance Multi-Service Center (now known as La Alianza Hispana's headquarters and administrative offices). The building opened in 1975 in the converted Dudley Street, Roxbury, police station. This ceremony took place on October 23, 1974. Pictured on the dais is: Mayor Kevin White (speaking into microphone); Carlos Diaz, Mayor's liaison, (seated in first row behind the mayor); Orlando del Valle, President of the Board of Directors, (seated in back row, fourth from left); Frieda Garcia, Director of La Alianza Hispana, (seated in back row, fifth from left).
